Mike Kelp, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Getfused, became interested in web development early in his college years, where his passion for language design and choosing tools for their elegance as well as their raw value in features - and for computer science compelled him to dive deeper into the different and challenging problems to be solved on web and mobile applications. Since then, his talent for web integration and usability has allowed his work to become scalable across mobile and other applications.
As CTO of Getfused, Mike has developed technology-based platforms for some of Getfused’s largest clients. Working with the New England Patriots to allow live video streaming of the Pre-Super Bowl Press Conference, prior to their Super Bowl win, Mike developed a custom video streaming engine that surpassed the capabilities of other technologies. Mike has also evolved with the newest technologies, helping to develop some of the first mobile applications to allow true shopping style purchases and creating unique e-commerce-based systems to meet Getfused’s specific client needs.
Mike is a specialist in working with content distribution network (CDN) companies to create specific caching strategies and flexible purge integration for organizations like the UFC. He has spoken at a number of conferences on web development and ColdFusion topics, including an Adobe case study on code architecture for scalability with large traffic organizations.
Mike has held several key positions, including President for an Internet technology company. There, he led the technical team to develop web and mobile applications designed to meet client needs. He has a rich history in technology and research and a key strength he has gained from it is his ability to push the envelope with different technologies and challenge his team to architect solutions to a higher degree of elegance, making technology simpler and easier to build upon.
After partnering with Getfused for many years in his capacity as President and owner of EdomGroup, Mike saw the value in merging the company’s talents with Getfused and in 2010, Getfused acquired the company and created a technical powerhouse in its new Dallas, TX office by appointing Mike as its CTO.
His wealth of experience has defined and strengthened his ability to apply his skills at Getfused through the expansion of technical applications within the Getfused development team and by bringing creative technology solutions to its clients.
