The Challenge: In an ongoing effort to increase the effectiveness of their recycling programs, Preserve identified a need to create a more sustainable way for customers to recycle toothbrushes through their take back program. Specifically, a new system was needed to handle the mailing in of toothbrushes based on their new packaging concept. This new packaging featured a unique code and website address that would direct users to a page that allowed them to request and redeem a postage label. The goal was to create a simplified consumer experience while also increasing Preserve’s process efficiency and increase recycling initiatives.
The Solution: Getfused worked with the Preserve team to strategically create a concept that could be quickly and successfully deployed for the Preserve toothbrush take back system in time for the release of the new toothbrush package. The site allows users to enter their code and be given back a postage paid label to recycle their toothbrush, with the encouragement and ability to return multiple toothbrushes at one time. The site also serves to educate users on their impact of recycling their toothbrushes while giving them the ability to participate in social media and receive email communications from Preserve.
Quick turn around by Getfused resulted in Preserve’s ability to successfully release the new toothbrush packaging while providing users with an easy way to recycle. The more effective system has allowed Preserve to increase process efficiency while allowing users to have an increased impact on the environment.
