This month twitter introduced Vine, their new video service that allows for users to share short looping videos. Aside from trying to cash in on the trending video sharing across the internet, Vine allows for a whole new set of content possibilities for Twitter users. Vine shows video loops of approximately 6 seconds and is able to be viewed directly on the Twitter feed without having to be redirected to an external site.
So what does this all mean? Well for one, it’s a new use for your twitter feed. Can’t come up with a creative hashtag or tidbit of text? Make a video, its only six seconds after all. But be sure to make it interesting and representative of your brand, goals and of course your overall social media strategy. Bottom line, this is a simple, fun and easy tool allowing Twitter users to add a whole new dimension to their activity and engagement.
