News - The Bostonian Group launches new improved navigation and design.

June 15, 2009 - The Bostonian Group released an extensive site redesign. The goals of the site redesign were to project brand awareness to potential new clients, remove practice area silos and create a more cohesive solutions offering, increase awareness of all solutions to existing client base (cross sell) become a resource for news, events and downloads pertaining to insurance and benefits and provide convenient access to client portals and information.



Getfused placed The Bostonian Group on the Getfused CMS platform which now allows them to easily update and add news, events, downloads, images and much more.



At the start of the project Getfused’s information architects analyzed the existing site content and utilized their technical skills to implement organizational structures. Improve usability was a priority as Getfused organized and indexed the web content. They ultimately provided the Bostonian Group with a sitemap which now allows information to quickly and easily be accessed while at the same time allowing for scalability in the future.



The new site design is compelling and professional. The interactive design elements queue users to specific content in an intuitive concise way. In addition, the design elements are very flexible and scalable—they can easily accommodate changes as the website evolves over time.



Of the many Getfused CMS features, The Bostonian Group is utilizing the Listing Management feature to easily add new, events and publications which pertain to a specific practice area. Content items can be filtered by type or category and a system manager with the proper permissions can add multiple news articles to the system. Content can be added and menus configured to display news or to the central content management area under the news listing. The site visitor can quickly navigate forward and backward through the listing pages.
